Gabe and Farquard - Lisa Wetzel

My Grandson, Gabe, is the light of my life in many ways.  We have quite a few chickens at our place.  We love the atmosphere and the eggs!  The rowdiest little rooster is Farquard!  Of all the roosters we have, many of them three times his size, Farquard is the one that attacks our feet and chases grown men across the barnyard crowing all the way.

Farquard doesn't like anyone except Gabe.   Heaven knows why the two of them have a relationship ... they just do.  Gabe can roam all over the fields and Farquard will sit happily on his shoulder.   When Gabe spends the night we always find his little feathered buddy waiting for him at the back door in the morning.

This is a great shot that really made me chuckle.  My great uncle had a rooster that followed him around, it was a legend in his family!  sometimes these relationships just happen!

Lisa, that is just the cutest thing I've ever seen! I can picture that rooster sitting out there waiting for him. LOL
