Lisa and Jim's Northern Nevada Real Estate Blog: I've Got A Short Stack ... Yeah!

I've Got A Short Stack ... Yeah!

Laying in the winter feed!  Here's a short post by Jim Valentine!  OH!  Life in the Country!

I've got a short stack of alfalfa for my goats and to supplement my horses.

Short Stack Of Alfalfa

We've been trading our alfalfa for grass hay for the past few years.  We also have sold to the last dairy in the Carson Valley - dairy hay!  What a compliment - that is the best.  They got a conservation easement, and sold the dairy herd.  there were once 22 dairies, now there are none.

We haven't kept our wonderful alfalfa for a few years, but we've got some now ... a short stack. Yahoo!

Thanks for the reblog Lisa.  Yes, having the food in the stack is good.  I feel like a squirrel putting it away for winter ... for the horses, donkeys and goats.
