Lisa, very funny, I can relate. Thanks for sharing this. I'll need to show some agents in my office.
Hahahahaaaaaaaaa. Rejected like a bad kidney while you foolishly wait for a phone call? (LOL). My e-mail is off the hook with people telling me to jack this blog. I just had to come over here (LOL). My fave line: I am a specislist but I may not even exist (ROTFL). How about the crack I will teach you to submit an offer before you die from natural causes (LMAO). Where the hell are the comments? Why am I getting e-mail but no one is commenting on your blog. WTF? We have to do something about that (LOL). Seriously... :-)
Featured @ Club Chaos
What a scream--------got to share this at the office tomorrow!
Hey!!! I think I worked with that agent before!
: )
Very funny, Lisa. Exactly what my clients are telling me about this. Thanx for the laugh.
Pam, I am on my second run with this because I am sure I missed some other great lines while howling with laughter (LOL) ;-)
Michael, I think we both did (LOL). That agent gets around (LOL). ;-)
Pamela, the sad thing is I am living this along with my peers. I am in Short Sale and REO Hell (LOL). Why can't I get an answer in seven days? Why hasn't a negotiator been assigned after four months? Why does one agent have 300 plus listings for HUD? Why are people calling me from West VA telling me as a Fannie Mae vendor I am in charge of houses there when I live and work in NY? Oh the things I can say about this but wont... (LOL)
Carra, this is too funny (LOL). I'm still sorting through the loopholes and hoops (LMAO).
OMG LISA! I think that agents entire team of moronic clones works in the Los Angeles and Ventura counties market.
C - Thanks for the comments and the feature!
Pam - I'm working with this agent right now! Nightmare!
Pamela - Yep! You have to be there to appreciate how very very frustrating this can be!
Carra - does your daughter live in Fernley NV? Glad you got a chuckle!
Gary - Corporate America at it's finest!
Donne - They work in So Cal, but, they have relatives in Nevada!
Margaret - glad you enjoyed this! Yes ... again thanks to C-Tann for helping to bring this to everyone attention!
Honest, truthful and down right funny.
Oh...This is too good! And so true! LOL! Or at least it feels that way when you deal with them.
Hi Lisa, This was so cleaver. You did a marvelous job scripting this. I went to the site and realized that this was a very time consuming little project. Very well done. Congratulations!
This is totally pathetic because it's 100% true. I know the pain.
"See you in 1998 . . . You loser."
If only banks knew that this is really what goes on behind the scenes. God. I wish I had made that video!
LOL @ Elizabeth. The pain... the pain... (LOL)
William, very clever indeed. :-)
Sherry, it does feel that way sometimes, eh? ;-)
I sooooo second Loreena. There were a few agents that made my eyes cross in my head to the point where I had to bite my tongue and count to ten (LOL). My kids know "that look" but the people just didn't get it. Even when I got wordy and made myself perfectly clear. Wind up not selling the home because the buyers walked from becoming frustrated at sitting for months on end just waiting for an answer... Suddenly I get a call out of the blue. Price reduced. Does my buyer still want the house. Hell no. My buyer closed two months ago. Oh well...
OMIGOSH -- tomorrow you're going to have the LOL of the Day Award! (I already gave that to the FTC today!)
Genius script!
That's about right.
Now featured on the Optimist Group for LOL Friday.
It's perfect!
Carla, mad cool. :-)
Mirela, awesome! We have a double feature going on. Very cool. :-)
Ana, it is isn't it? (LOL) :-D
I like the run about the 72-page addendum. It takes about 3 hours just to understand the instructions, and by then, they're are 152 offers on the table. Very funny.
Excellent! And so VERY true. I've lived this one several times.
Oh MY gawd,
Were they in my office watching me go thru short sale hell? How funny is this? I am so glad that someone made me laugh about this frustrating process... I experienced everything the "sellers agent said!!" I am sure someone has my kidney too!!!
Must share this with my coworkers.
This is priceless...and unfortunately so true! Thanks for the morning chuckle, I'd be laughing out loud if it weren't so true!
I laughed so hard that I'm pretty sure I broke something near ribcage.
Man oh Man. That was flippin' hilarious :)
TLW...ROAR!
Lisa: Funny and True … this is so classic … thanks for sharing … love the 72 page addendum, preferred lender … OMG … there is so much TRUTH to this … what a HOOT!
I've seen this a couple times and think its great! Great post!
Oh Lisa - Congratulations on the Featured Post and what a way to round out the week! I love it!
Very funny, a good laugh on this rainy day here in Ottawa
Just played this for Steve too. I love the "Your offer just ended up in my most awesome shredder" and "You must be pre-approved with my preferred lender, which might be my cousin Frank, but I'm not sayin'!"
Lisa - Thanks for sharing. That made my whole week seem much better with a good laugh.
Nice...I like the last part about not calling back on your offer...
Very funny and lots of truth in there. lol
That was funny, sad but funny!
I posted this on Facebook. I just know one of my buyers who has been shot down FOUR times will get it...unfortunately.
Thanks for posting.
Very funny. I tried to Re-Blog you but it hung over on the side bar on both of my outside blogs.
I agree with David - Funny, but sad. I laughed and then thought how I would feel as a buyer impacted by this tragedy - These issues don't really come up in the Iowa City market. This comical illustration of the difficulties of actually getting to an accepted offer in other parts of the country was much more effective in getting the point across to me than several posts on the subject have been. It's a sad state of affairs.
Preferred lender who might be my cousin Vinny, but I'm not saying. Wow humor really does point out the ridiculous.
Lisa:
What a hoot! I laughed so hard because this is soooooo true. "We hate veterans, too!" That was just classic.
very funny!
Nows that's one funny and TRUE video. We are working with an FHA buyer and it will be very very difficult finding a home for these buyers.
Hi Lisa,
This is so funny but unfortunately hits home.
I am forwarding this to an associate that just heard many of the same comments from a listing agent in a real life situation. The listing was so packed with erroneous information it was reported to MLS. The listing agent made a comment similar to the video, "I am too busy with all my listings..." you can watch the video again and know how the rest of the conversation went.
I hope this isn't an indication of what we have to look forward to in the coming year(s) while we work our way out from the mortgage debacle.
Thanks for the post. Have a wonderful day.
Catherine in NY
Funny animation I will share with colleagues at work.
That is just too funny and sooooo darn true.
Must have been created by a overworked and frustrated buyers agent.
Excellent!
LOL @ Kathyrn G. My Cousin Vinny was a nice touch, eh? (LMAO) ;-)
very funny, I am dealing something like this right now.
OMG this is SO funny - in that "can't stop laughing or might cry because it is so close to truth" way! Thanks for sharing - & now I must go tell everyone in my office to come check it out!
This is too funny! Yet sadly true, this is what we usually hear about from our agents we work with. You think it would be easier.
That is awesome!
I specialize in selling bank owned properties, and believe me it takes talent to be on the buyers side of it, I am sure it takes alot of talent on the other side too, a side I am working hard to get on, but once I am I do want to well you know, actually return calls and such...
I just closed on a bank owned property yesterday with a client. Now we find out that the utilities are not paid. He says he has sent forms several times and that everything possible was done on his end.....however......the utility co has no record what so ever of any conversations with him.
The keys, well they were left under a bucket in the back yard, however I was not told this so when I go @ 9pm to deliver the keys that were agreed to be in a lock box for us there IS NO lock box.....did I forget to mention this WAS a CASH buyer, we got an email from the agent with a counter, we accepted and wrote it up, the bank sat on it for 5 days and then told us that in the 5 days higher offers had come in so now we have to raise our offer to get it.....We do and then it still is almost a full month before we can close, not because of my client, because of the BANK. The client mean while is waiting and waiting to get working on the house......Again did I mention HE PAID CASH!!!!
Total craziness, but it was a good deal! I think I'll send him the link to this video.
I wonder if certain people will see themselves here?
Excellent. That is what I imagine it would be like to talk to an REO agent if I could actually get one to pick up the phone.
This is hilarious - good find and a great way to start out the weekend (laughing). My office loves it!
That listing agent works is a cloned agent in Cleveland. What a hoot!
Lisa... this is the funniest thing I have seen in a LONG time. I guess that the truth really can be funny. Thanks for sharing.
Sadly Lisa, we all can relate to this! I know I was thinking of one particular REO listing agent in Reno who I sounds just like this robot. Actually, I have never talked with yet have submitted at least two offers to. I do have a closing with her soon and have yet to speak to her. I only email her closing assistant but I do not get to speak with her either!!
wow this was funny very creative gotta reblog this one
I know I have talked to his women before...but only once because when I called Back, she had beeen sent to another department. So I had to start over...did not pass go and did not collect $200.
I am almost certain that I have dealt with this agent over the past year. :)
OMG! I talk to this listing agent every day! She never really blatently comes out and SAYS she hates Veterans though! This made me laugh so hard! I am definately re-blogging!
I am SOOO GRATEFUL that I was in my private office as I laughed aloud at this. We receive many calls from buyers who want to purchase a foreclosure and have no idea that the (I hesitate to use the term), "process" is different. I may have to re-blog this!
Oh I can see the sadness in his eyes as he keeps getting rejected, poor guy! This is sooo funny and sooo true.
Amazing what 200 billion dollars in bailout money will get you.
Lisa - As everyone else has already stated, this is soooo funny. Thanks for sharing!
Sad, but unfortunately true. Here in Franklin County, Ohio, it takes about 5 months to record a Sheriff's deed. Our MLS just introduced 2 new categories of bank owned properties - deed recorded and deed NOT recorded. This helps estimating when one can actually close, but most agents representing the sellers (banks) behave just like in this funny little video. First time buyers, beware!
That's just too funny! They say that the best comedy has a lot of truth to it. Very much the case here. Such a sad state of affairs unfortunately that the people who need to get out of their homes have to have so many hoops that need to be jumped through!
Oh so wickedly true.
I just loved this! There are a handful of REO agents we will always remember. For... 1) Never returning a call personally 2) always having a voice mail that says do NOT leave a message 3) for always having staff or email to deal with the transaction 4) for never actually ever spoken with them during the entire transaction. I WILL remember all of them. These times will end and... someday the shoe of professional courtesy will be on the other foot.
This video is right on the money!!! I couldn't of said it better myself. LOL I think every real estate agent should see this lol
I tried to watch, but the video's down. I could use a laugh in this biz. Sadly, too much of it has become a joke.
LOL! Yeah it's really like that! No offense to the REO agents out there! I know some of you who take pride in what you do and have strict time lines to meet and also strict requirements from the banks you serve! Until we have a large REO account we will never exactly know what REO agents go through. With that said some of them could lighten up a bit! Lastly to all the REO agents out there.....enjoy the ride while it lasts!
This would have been funnier if I wasn't in the middle of one right now! You left out that the preapproval can only be completed on-line, and they will get back to you with 24-72 hours (while you are in a bidding war).
Really hysterical!
LMAO @ George. Oh my word... I have yet to be tortured with that bit of insanity. Hmm... I shall have to stay on the lookout for that bit of banking mischief (LOL).
Very funny and sad because it is so true! Keep smiling because it looks like we may be here for a while.
There has never been anything more true and exemplary than this piece. How sad that asset managers have to be so arrogant!!
OK ..... Let's all forward this to our Senate and Congress Members so they can possibly get a clue! Oh and let's not forget the White House!
