TODAY ~  May 21 is Armed Forces Day!

A little history for some of the younger folks. In 1949 the AAF (American Armed Forces united under the Department of Defense). This is the day of appreciation for the Armed Forces and is celebrated on the third Saturday of May.

TODAY is the day when it would be good to take time to thank our military (retired and active and even the family members of someone connected with the military). As we say so many times how  they have sacrificed greatly for our safety and freedom. Do it one more time, TODAY.

TODAY! ~ Thank someone that you know retired and active.

Carl and Ceil Winters

Thanks for the reblog. Haven't heard much on the news today. I remember when there were parades and it was such a special day. Oh how times have changed. It won't be long and it won't even be on the calendar anymore.
